“I'm an artist who loves drawing dogs, but I have a cat.”
Five years ago, I adopted my cat from a shelter and started living with him. His companionship taught me what it really means to have someone by your side. He’s like a person in my life. When I look at him, he looks back at me. When I ramble on, he listens patiently. Gradually, I started wanting a dog, but my cat just can’t accept a new friend. So, I channeled this thought into my artwork.
I often imagine what life would be like if I had a dog. I blend my observations of life and fantasies about dogs into my creations. Throughout history, dogs and humans have built an incredibly deep bond. It might seem like dogs rely on us for survival, but the truth is, we depend on them just as much for companionship and joy.
It’s not just about feeding and sheltering them; it’s about the mutual comfort and happiness we share. In a way, it’s a give-and-take relationship, a beautiful exchange where both sides benefit. This idea of mutual need and affection is something I love to explore in my art.
